A first-pass screening tool for Japanese earnings releases.
SWTQ mechanically reviews earnings releases disclosed through TDnet using four key metrics — revenue, operating profit, ordinary or pre-tax profit, and net income. Reports are generally delivered on business-day evenings when applicable earnings releases are available.
How it works
SWTQ retrieves earnings releases disclosed through TDnet, parses the underlying XBRL data, classifies each filing using four key metrics, and delivers the results as a report.
01
TDnet Retrieval
Automatically collects earnings releases disclosed through TDnet
02
XBRL Parsing

03
4-Metric Classification

04
Report Delivery
Generally delivered by email, HTML, and CSV on business-day evenings
Why SWTQ
SWTQ does not make investment decisions. It provides a systematic starting point for discovery.
Discovery
Most existing tools only let you check companies you already know. SWTQ covers earnings releases disclosed through TDnet, helping you come across filings you might otherwise miss.
Coverage
Covers earnings releases disclosed through TDnet — automatically processing a volume of filings no individual investor could review manually.
Rule-based
SWTQ does not recommend stocks or rank companies by quality. It mechanically reviews reported figures and year-over-year change only. The analysis itself is left to you.
Reduced workload
Helps reduce the initial workload of reviewing a large number of company filings during earnings season, using a report generally delivered on business-day evenings as your starting point.
Criteria
SWTQ mechanically reviews the year-over-year change in four key metrics: revenue, operating profit, ordinary or pre-tax profit, and net income.
Filings are grouped into four categories based on how many of these metrics achieved 30% or more year-over-year growth.
※ This classification reflects how many metrics met the threshold — it is not a ranking of quality and not an investment recommendation.
Sample Report
A report like this is generally delivered on business-day evenings when applicable earnings releases are available. The HTML version can be viewed in a browser, and the CSV can be opened in a spreadsheet. In one recent daily run, SWTQ reviewed 76 companies and flagged 25 for further review.
