How it works

How the data flows

SWTQ retrieves earnings releases disclosed through TDnet, parses the underlying XBRL data, classifies each filing using four key metrics, and delivers the results as a report.

01

TDnet Retrieval

Automatically collects earnings releases disclosed through TDnet

02

XBRL Parsing

Reads XBRL tags and structures the four key metric values

03

4-Metric Classification

Calculates year-over-year growth and classifies each filing into Q/T/W/S

04

Report Delivery

Generally delivered by email, HTML, and CSV on business-day evenings

Why SWTQ

A clearer starting point for review.

SWTQ does not make investment decisions. It provides a systematic starting point for discovery.

Discovery

Most existing tools only let you check companies you already know. SWTQ covers earnings releases disclosed through TDnet, helping you come across filings you might otherwise miss.

Coverage

Covers earnings releases disclosed through TDnet — automatically processing a volume of filings no individual investor could review manually.

Rule-based

SWTQ does not recommend stocks or rank companies by quality. It mechanically reviews reported figures and year-over-year change only. The analysis itself is left to you.

Reduced workload

Helps reduce the initial workload of reviewing a large number of company filings during earnings season, using a report generally delivered on business-day evenings as your starting point.

Criteria

SWTQ Classification

SWTQ mechanically reviews the year-over-year change in four key metrics: revenue, operating profit, ordinary or pre-tax profit, and net income.
Filings are grouped into four categories based on how many of these metrics achieved 30% or more year-over-year growth.

Revenue Operating Profit Ordinary / Pre-tax Profit Net Income
S
Single
1 of 4 metrics achieved
+30% YoY or more
W
Double
2 of 4 metrics achieved
+30% YoY or more
T
Triple
3 of 4 metrics achieved
+30% YoY or more
Q
Quad
All 4 metrics achieved
+30% YoY or more

※ This classification reflects how many metrics met the threshold — it is not a ranking of quality and not an investment recommendation.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Does SWTQ recommend investments?

No. SWTQ is not an investment advisory service. It is a tool that mechanically aggregates and classifies figures disclosed in earnings releases. It does not recommend stocks, suggest trade timing, or provide forecasts. Because we do not guarantee the accuracy or completeness of the data, please make your own investment decisions after reviewing each company's official filings.

Which companies are covered?

Earnings releases disclosed through TDnet (Japan's timely disclosure system) are covered. We retrieve and parse the XBRL data included in those filings.

When do reports arrive?

Reports aggregate earnings releases disclosed between 20:01 (JST) the previous business day and 20:00 (JST) the current business day, and are generally delivered that same evening when applicable earnings releases are available. The exact coverage period is stated in each report.

Is the beta free?

Yes. The beta is free to use. We may introduce paid plans in the future, but beta participants will be notified in advance.

How is SWTQ different from other services?

Most existing tools are built for checking companies you already know. SWTQ automatically screens earnings releases disclosed through TDnet and organizes which official filings to review first — helping you come across companies you might not otherwise have found.

Can I unsubscribe?

Yes. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link included in each email. After unsubscribing, your data is deleted or appropriately managed, except where retention is required for processing the unsubscribe request or for operational purposes.

Are reports available in English?

Beta reports are currently delivered mainly in Japanese. English report support is under development. This landing page is available in English so you can understand and sign up for SWTQ ahead of that.
